Ben Hughes is a writer, creative director, photographer and filmmaker working across advertising, editorial and digital media.
He is currently at Wieden+Kennedy NY, where he was hired as one of the youngest creative directors in the agency's history. His campaigns for Jeep and Delta Airlines were cited in W+K's unprecedented sweep of all five Agency of the Year awards in 2010.
Previously, he spent two years at Mother NY, where his work on New Balance, Target and K-Y contributed significantly to the shop being named Creativity's Agency of the Year in 2009. He has also worked at top digital agency R/GA and Ogilvy & Mather.
As a journalist, he has enjoyed a long-term relationship with Esquire, where he has covered music, books, cars and technology.
As a filmmaker, he has directed and edited music videos and online content for Esquire, Greencard Pictures and Mother Productions.
His work has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, MSNBC, Boing Boing, NBC, Current TV, The Huffington Post and The Onion. It has also been recognized by Cannes, the One Show, the Webbys and the Effies.
Ben lives in Brooklyn with his wife, the literary agent Mollie Glick (though they try to leave as often as possible).
